Simple Pleasures

on December 7, 2010

I have been giving thanks to some very simple pleasures which makes my life so much easier..Its so mundane.. so everyday routine, that we almost would miss and take this for granted.. I take this opportunity to appreciate their presence in my life..

  • The vegetable vendor saving the hottest of chillies just for us since he knows we like them hot..
  • The fish vendor, who points to the best fish, with just an eye contact..
  • The office boy who for no reason, stands to attention.. says “Good Morning” every day with a very positive smile.. which forces me to be in a good mood as I swipe my card in..
  • The same office boy on watching me on striding towards the door on my way back home from work, runs or subtly clicks on the lift button to make sure that one of the lifts are ready and even points me to go via the lift which will help me reach my destination faster.
  • Sarla from the housekeeping service, who ensures that my place is clean and also makes sure that I have my coffee cup washed sometime, when she is free.. even though I have the habit of washing it myself..
  • The Admin personnel who remembers my request and ensures that I get it.. even though I do not follow up and thanks me humbly because  I remember his name and address him so..
  • A free invite to one of the good conferences.. Awesome.. !!
  • The business woman who shows me exactly what I want and need, without wasting my time..
  • And not the least, a wonderful team who rock.. just by being them.. :)
  • The book vendor who excitedly never tires of telling me what new movies have come.. just in case I would buy some.. :)
  • The Lady, who knows how to make me look good, and who does not forget to return the patch of clothes, she did not use.  Hahaha !! I never get them leftovers.. and never think too much about it.. :)

Never stops to brighten my day and keep the smile on my face..

Life is worth it !!  and yes I am glad to be part of the eco system which keeps me happy and work through my activities wihout care..

The problem with reading most posts via the reader is that one completely misses the make over. I love it! Bring out some really strong personality. A happy one at that.

Two, it is funny you mention your thanks, because this time when I write my cards, I was planning to write my thanks too. I really enjoyed this post. I think we forget the everyday mundane things in life that actually count to make this a better place.
