Had another movie spree last weekend. This was the Bollywood time.
Kambakht Ishq
Starring Akshay and Kareena, I actually found myself laughing while watching certain portions of the movie. I was not expecting too much from the script. Now if you are stuck with this movie, heres how you will enjoy it.
Close your eyes when the songs come and sleep off.
You can also switch off when Rambo comes. There is absolutely NO requirement for this star to be in the story but well you will see how this has been patched. I was biting my nails in frustration when I saw him. I did guess that they just wanted to have the footage. But what baseless footage in the name of Hollywood. And its plain that old footage has been used. Have seen the same in E Buzz many times… well all the more to fool people with..
Sometimes I felt that they were making a quilt of different patches from different footages and saving on shooting time and money.. LOL
Main fun is whenever Akshay Kumar and Kareena is on the scene. Else its all bakwass.
Well, I read that this story is an ORIGINAL idea but since it matches with a Tamil movie, the rights have been bought for this movie. Now it makes me think .. if this was an ORIGINAL idea, why would you have to buy rights.
NOW you have to absolutely be in FULLY FALTU mood. Absolutely. Thats the frame of mind I go with when I see movies like this.
Why did I watch it ?? Well I did not get ICE AGE 3 and I wanted to watch a movie and well there I was watching KI.

I must tell you that I did not mind that movie. Liked the storyline. I liked the way it started, looped and then had some decent twists and turns and had a Bollywood worth climax scene.
The characters in the movie were also pretty convincing in their roles.
Background score was good. The gore was done ok, I guess and the story does make one think.. on one of the outcomes of 9/11.
Some facts I did not get.
At the beginning of the movie the person who gets caught with guns runs a Taxi which belongs to the main protagonist. Now this character on interrogation says that he has not met the protagonist in 7 years. My question was if he did not meet this guy then how come he was under the employment of his friend. Go figure !!
Anyway, it was a good entertainer and you can watch it without getting bored or getting switched off.

All the hullabaloo about MJ’s ghost. Goodness me !! Its sometimes a crime to have internet on the go even a sensation to have someone walk past .. while someone is interviewing .. LOL..
Anyway guess this is going to be like Elvis saga where people believe that he is still alive and has not left the building and all.

What else is new ?
Well besides the fact that I went a shop crazy on Groceries, I must say that its good to be shopping in the renovated Nilgiris.
Old has always attracted me. All the big bazaar and total malls, and the like somehow does not have the charm of Spencers or Nilgiris which were the only supermarket vendors known for certain products.

The past week , it has been a tug of war between morals, principles, second chances and moving on. I keep wondering when we have a beautiful bird in the hand, why do we go for the one in the bush.. Isnt it enough to count the blessings that one already has rather than go looking for trouble and pain in the name of love. May the right choice be made.
