Point of Reflection | Knowing others is wisdom, knowing yourself is enlightenment.

In general

  • people possess basic goodness, they just hide it somewhere.. or it gets covered with perceptions.. from self and others..
  • there is always a leap of faith when one comes across positivity
  • happiness from the person I employ makes my day
  • a genuine conversation has its benefits
  • capability does not always complement congeniality
  • focus does not always mean sincerity
  • having a good laugh does make the whole world seem a better place
  • creative project keeps me from devil’s workshop
  • change is not always a heavy cross to bear
  • acceptance does not always mean tolerance and vice versa
  • thinking does not always lead to doing… and doing does not lead to thinking..
  • its better to learn home truths about any circumstances that one is in..
  • experience and not practice makes it perfect…

Buhahahah !!!

My daily reading says this which is so correct .. I am growing to love these cards.. :)Usually am into Egyptian but these cards are showing me wonderful insights.. Just started on this.. Think it does good for soul guidance.. :)

The seed cannot know what is going to happen, the seed has never known the flower. And the seed cannot even believe that he has the potentiality to become a beautiful flower. Long is the journey, and it is always safer not to go on that journey because unknown is the path, nothing is guaranteed.

Nothing can be guaranteed. Thousand and one are the hazards of the journey, many are the pitfalls - and the seed is secure, hidden inside a hard core. But the seed tries, it makes an effort; it drops the hard shell which is its security, it starts moving. Immediately the fight starts: the struggle with the soil, with the stones, with the rocks. And the seed was very hard and the sprout will be very, very soft and dangers will be many.

There was no danger for the seed, the seed could have survived for millennia, but for the sprout many are the dangers. But the sprout starts towards the unknown, towards the sun, towards the source of light, not knowing where, not knowing why. Great is the cross to be carried, but a dream possesses the seed and the seed moves.

The same is the path for man. It is arduous. Much courage will be needed.

Osho Dang Dang Doko Dang Chapter 4

Commentary:

This card shows a small wildflower that has met the challenge of the rocks and stones in its path to emerge into the light of day. Surrounded by an aura of bright golden light, it exposes the majesty of its tiny self. Unashamed, it is equal to the brightest sun.

When we are faced with a very difficult situation we have a choice: we can either be resentful, and try to find somebody or something to blame for the hardships, or we can face the challenge and grow.

The flower shows us the way, as its passion for life leads it out of the darkness and into the light. There is no point fighting against the challenges of life, or trying to avoid or deny them. They are there, and if the seed is to become the flower we must go through them. Be courageous enough to grow into the flower you are meant to be.

Hi Pallavi,

I am happy that U like Haikus. I don’t know how well my three liners fall into the character of Haikus.
Hey u know what?

Its just ur comment which brought me back to write something (a reply though)…I was feeling on and off with blog for some reason…the only good thing is that when i go off from blogger…my flickr signal goes green and when i reach a jam there my blogger gets a go…and now i think it is an off for blogger and green for flickr…

Hey i loved this one like all ur other writeups…

Do me a favour…pick a card for me too…and do let me know (and pls don’t charge me ).

I back u in most of those (all those that I could relate to) listed in the In-General listing.

But the one that I could relate most is the last one…“Experience and not practice makes it perfect”.

I believe that because I had seen it.

I took the word “experience” here as not the number of years that someone had put in to something but as the feeling that a person attaches behind his action…

When I used to coach the junior district team I have seen and experienced this first hand. The players, who fallowed my instructions blindly, taking it as a tough coaching camp, showed improvement in the camps but failed utterly when they came to the real turf. They could not improvise their game according to the need of the moment. But I saw awful improvement in those who really enjoyed the coaching camps they improvised their game with every second on field.

Hey don’t Pallavi don’t forget my reading…
